Your Heart, Inc. dba Your Heart Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. Sickle Cell Awareness - The Silence is Broken Sickle Cell Adult Survivors Program

About us

We have often overlooked silent diseases, including Sickle Cell Disease.
Admiral Ellison Task Force 5, Seahorse AU, and CAF-TV CAF Broadcasting Company, Inc. have teamed up to support the awareness of Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Adult Survivors (SCAS).
Welcome to Your Heart Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. (YHSCF). We are breaking the silence of Sickle Cell Disease and aiding with Sickle Cell Adult Survivors (SCAS). Twenty-five years ago, a person with sickle cell disease was not expected to live to adulthood, the average life span was up to 21 years of age.
Today, the outlook is much more optimistic, many Sickle Cell Adults Survivors (SCAS) are living beyond the age of 21 and living beyond the age of 50 years old.
Since Sickle Cell Adult Survivors (SCAS) are living longer, but society hasn't caught up with their adulthood of living in this society with Sickle Cell Disease to provide needs for; healthy living, healthy environment, healthy services during hospital stay and just an all around healthy atmosphere for a quality healthy lifestyle from education after high school, job careers, family planning to successful living with sickle cell disease.
We as YHSCF are seeking updated ER Protocols to Change from General to Level 1, immediate care. Training for ER Medical Professionals on what to do when a Sickle Cell Survivors is admitted in ER. We suggest upon arrival. Start a Rapid Triage Level 1, Start an IV for prompt intake of pain medication. Within 30 minutes after Triage. Start a low oxygen intake for the organs. Start a low dose of hydromorphone intravenously of 2 mg. Manage pain until lab works are completed verses waiting for lab works to start the protocol process.
We at YHSCF are helping our society to catch up with Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Adult Survivors by advocating and supporting the awareness of breaking the silence.
Your Heart Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. vision is to promote a healthy atmosphere for Sickle Cell Survivors and assist with continual awareness of Sickle Cell Disease.
Your Heart Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. extended vision is to support Sickle Cell Adult Survivors (SCAS) from living in Silence to living in Sunshine. Living with Sunny Sails instead of Sickle Cells.
Your Heart Sickle Cell Foundation,Inc. brings Sunny Sails to life bringing bigger and brighter Sunshine into the lives of Sickle Cell Adult Survivors by providing alkaline water vouchers, healthy fun eating tips, scholarship awards for students graduating from high school, fun-filled weekend vacation packages and much much more. Our Sunny Sails places a Sunshine on the awareness of Sickle Cell Disease for Sickle Cell Adult Survivors.
